Getting ready for summer!

They finally announced some Summer temperature in Belgium this week. After months of wearing a uniform of jeans and cashmere, we can finally look forward to wearing those summer dresses.

This picture was taken on our family getaway to Turkey a few weeks ago. Wearing my Polo Ralph Lauren shirtdress and flat sandals. Don’t you just love the flare of this simple dress?

How to create the perfect holiday suitcase?!

These pictures represent a classic Isabelle holiday outfit.
Neutral accessories and a denim jacket for chilly nights.

Are you always struggling with 7 outfits that need 7 different pairs of shoes? Well I was too until I decided to bring along only neutral accessories. They bring you a long, long way.

So I bring a pair of silver or gold heels, tan or nude heels and a pair of flat sandals! Not to forget a denim jacket that will keep you surprisingly warm on those typical cold nights when travelling.

So stop paying extra for those overweight bags and go for neutrals!

Happy travelling

My latest crush, lace beach dress

So last summer my beach outfits were all about playsuits and shorts, now I just love the lace and broderie Anglaise trend.

This dress was love at first sight, a huge crush! Added a white bikini and off we went.

The dress is available at H&M for only 14,99€! What a catch, right?

What is your favourite beach cover-up?

White and polka dots!

My favourite pants of last summer! They didn’t see much sunlight last year as I combined them with black and it didn’t feel quite right, sure you know the feeling!

But things changed with this white blouse I got in Paris a few weeks ago. It gives the freshest touch on a lot of outfits. How did I ever survived without it?!

So note to myself : wardrobe essential : white flowy top!

Gingham style!

I told you before I really love gingham. I had to try a lot of different trousers until I found the right one, both cheap and expensive.

I added this one to my basket several times as I loved the colors and print but the fit in the picture wasn’t really flattering. Decided I’d give it a shot and I could’t be more pleased.

Combined it with the same neutral colors to let the trousers speak for themselves.

My pants are Zara but it seems I can’t share the link, find my other favourites just below!

Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM

I must admit I am not a Vuitton-person. Don’t ask me why but apart from their scarfs, I never fell in love with their bags.

Except for this one, I think i tried it for at least the last 3 summers… So we can’t say this was an impulse purchase.

I tried the two sizes again and quickly decided the MM (smaller size) looked a bit dull on me. This size is more often used as a beachbag or travelbag but I tend to use it on an everyday basis.. I forgot how easy it was to carry around a big tote.

So I can only say it is the perfect mommy bag for summer, big enough to carry all the things you need for your little rascals!

Pretty in pink

Growing up, I never was a pinky girl. My mum has a casual chic style and she projected her style on me so we weren’t the nailpainting kinda family.

Over the years I discovered I do like a little girly touch here and there so here I am in pink.

These Nikkie pants were on my wishlist for a while now but were sold out online. I finally had the time for a little Antwerp shopping spree this weekend and luckily the store still had my size. Tried it on and the rest is history!

So last Saturday night, this is how I looked!

My favo spring coat

When my beautiful sister in law arrived at our Easter egg hunt in this coat, I couldn’t help falling in love with it.
The length and color I’ve been browsing for, for the last couple of weeks and she simply got it at Zara. How could I have missed this beauty?
As I am in my neutral color palets, grey is one of the go to colors for me this spring!
Just add a pop of white, blue or pink and you’re the most stylish person on the block!

The perfect transition piece!

Rather you wear them with heels, sneakers, flip flops or espadrilles, a maxi-skirt is always a good idea! Especially for Spring, think about covering those winterlegs but still feeling ready for Spring!

The end of the Easter weekend

So the Easter weekend has come to an end. Started with a big easter egg hunt and ended with a painful angina :-( so please don’t look at my tired eyes!

Created a monochrome, casual outfit with tones of camel with one of my favo ripped jeans by Maje!

Pictures taken with iPhone5.
