Gingham style!

I told you before I really love gingham. I had to try a lot of different trousers until I found the right one, both cheap and expensive.

I added this one to my basket several times as I loved the colors and print but the fit in the picture wasn’t really flattering. Decided I’d give it a shot and I could’t be more pleased.

Combined it with the same neutral colors to let the trousers speak for themselves.

My pants are Zara but it seems I can’t share the link, find my other favourites just below!

Pretty in pink

Growing up, I never was a pinky girl. My mum has a casual chic style and she projected her style on me so we weren’t the nailpainting kinda family.

Over the years I discovered I do like a little girly touch here and there so here I am in pink.

These Nikkie pants were on my wishlist for a while now but were sold out online. I finally had the time for a little Antwerp shopping spree this weekend and luckily the store still had my size. Tried it on and the rest is history!

So last Saturday night, this is how I looked!

Tight tighter tightest

Tight season has begun! I love a good mini-skirt with matching opaques.

However midi skirts are all over the place, I stick to mini. Even when you’re not a size XS or S, with the right shape of skirt, a lot of us girls can wear short skirts.

BUT don’t be to cheap on your opaques because they can either slim your legs or just add extra weight. So as I told you before, go for quality instead of quantity. You’ll see that a good pair of tights, like Wolford, will last much longer.

Imagine Gent

Last week I made my selection of favourite shoes at my favourite shoestore, Imagine.

I must admit, I like online shopping a lot but I promise you, once you’ve met Kenneth of Imagine, you won’t buy shoes online but you’ll come back here. As a podologist he can advice you professionally on which shoes will fit you and your feet!

L’Eté Indien

We’re having such an amazing Indian Summer. A great gift after gloomy August. But not always easy to dress.

It’s a challenge to mix the latest pieces of summer with the first items from your fall closet.

I tend to wear trousers with sandals and a fine knit with a biker jacket or blazer like today. For me this feels comfi this time of year.

Get me inspired by telling me what you’re been wearing lately!

To score shoes at the end of sales can really feel like a victory, right? Or is that just me?

I couldn’t believe my eyes when the salesman of Renaissance told me these babies were at 70 (!!) percent off.
There was no way back!

Anyway, there are still some cool items left at Renaissance, Antwerp so it is worth visiting when in the neighbourhood.

As I wanted the shoes to pop tonight, I kept the rest simple and clean. The cropped blouse is Zara and the jeans is Citizens of Humanity.

Delvaux X-Ray Brillant

Less is more on friday night.

I spent the last few days in shorts and flats while visiting Lisbon so I don’t need to tell you the urge to wear heels upon return!

As it was quite chilly I decided to keep it simple yet classy to have dinner with my monkey. A Ralph Lauren cashmere sweater under my biker to go with my jeans and Jimmy Choo’s. Check the last days of sales to score some great cashmere on I got mine at almost 70 percent off!

Well the bag doesn’t need an introduction but still I want to highlight this amazing piece. The limited edition Delvaux X-Ray bag. I love everything about it, the size, the transparent material with the black edges… Both rock ‘n roll and cute at the same time! Can it get any better?

Picking grapes in la douce France

La nature du Sud, don’t you just love this as a setting?

Grapes just hanging over the terrace like in ancient Rome, just amazing!

I bought this dress for a special occasion a few weeks ago at Carrément, Ghent by Elisabetta Franchi. I love the lace jeweled top and the fragile gold skirt.

At night, temperatures still drop so you need a vest or scarf. Lately I put this denim jacket with all my light colored outfits. It gives a laidback holiday look and it matches most outfits so you don’t need blazers or jackets in every single color.

This one is by H&M, only 29,90€ and the fit and color is just perfect! Doesn’t always have to be expensive, right??

Packing for la douce France.

I always want to pack all my shoes when going on holiday! I love combining the perfect accessories with my outfits but as I can’t pack 10 pairs I take some neutrals. This time silver and tan.

They cover most of my outfits. As for in bags, I take a little black Chanel and 1 statement bag in hot pink!

Ps : it is a great period to shop for an extra pair of neutrals, like nude, silver, gold or tan on sales! Sales in Belgium start tomorrow so be prepared, girls!
